The Friends of Harvey Milk Plaza is a volunteer-led organization and we are counting on people like you who are committed to ensuring that Harvey’s story continues to engage and inspire others. If you’re interested in becoming part of the movement to reimagine Harvey Milk Plaza into a place that supports conversation around issues of social justice, then join us!
This is a grassroots campaign, so you can help with meetings, promotion, flyer distribution, etc. If you have any special skills, like copywriting, web development, fundraising or anything else, be sure to mention those in your cover letter. If you don’t live close enough to support as a volunteer, then consider making a donation of any amount to support our work. Every dollar makes a difference!

Strong desire to honor Harvey Milk and recognize other LGBTQ+ cultural figures
Passionate about issues related to social justice
Availability to help as a volunteer from time to time
Willingness to work with others to make great things happen!
